Halloween Contact Lenses No Prescription

Every year at this time there is a sudden surge in interest in contact lenses.

Why? Does everyone’s eyesight suddenly get worse in winter? Of course not; the simple answer is Halloween contact lenses. People love to dress up and the scarier you can make your costume the better.

One way you can really stand out from the crowd is to change the colour of your eyes. Any not just from brown to blue, or something like that, but to red, or yellow, or even white. Just about anything you can imagine, in fact.

How is this possible? Nowadays, cosmetic contact lenses are readily available. These would usually be of the wear once and throw away type. Relatively cheap and available mostly in plano, or plain format. That means that they provide no sight correction. but that’s ok, you’re just trying to make yourself look really scary for Halloween.

Now, the question is, can you get Halloween contact lenses without prescription? Unfortunately, in most parts of the world, it is difficult to legally buy Halloween lenses with no prescription. In fact, this is true of most types of contact lenses in most places.

You can actually get cosmetic lenses from Canada without a prescription, and Halloween contacts are just a form of cosmetic lens. Now, having said that, I bought prescription, sight-correcting lenses in the UK from a website without having to provide prescription details, just last week, so the chances are that you can buy contacts for Halloween without no prescription if you really want to.

But, I shall end as I always do, and caution you against putting any sort of lens into your eyes if you haven’t been to an optician and had your eyes tested and a lens recommended. Lenses are not suitable for everyone and it is essential to get a type which is reputable and also suitable for your eyes. It is not worth risking your eyesight for an evening’s fun, so please take care. By the way, the lenses I bought were recommended by an optician after I had a series of tests. I bought exactly the same brand and prescription online and saved money – but I did get a test and prescription first.
